Our PSHE curriculum is built on the belief that every young person has the potential to “Be the leader of their future.” This guiding principle underpins every unit, encouraging students to recognise their own power to influence their lives, their communities, and the wider world around them.
Through carefully structured lessons, students are supported to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to make informed decisions, form positive relationships, and take responsibility for their wellbeing and future pathways. Each unit is designed not only to inform but to inspire — helping students to understand that leadership begins with self-awareness, respect for others, and active participation in society.
Across the curriculum, students are encouraged to reflect on three key dimensions of leadership:
- Personal Leadership – understanding themselves, managing emotions, building resilience, and setting goals for their own growth.
- Community Leadership – exploring how they can contribute positively to their schools, families, and local communities through empathy, teamwork, and social responsibility.
- Global Leadership – examining their place in the wider world, developing a sense of global citizenship, and considering how their actions can promote equality, sustainability, and justice.
Ultimately, our PSHE programme empowers students to become thoughtful, confident, and compassionate leaders — ready to take charge of their own futures and make a meaningful difference in the world around them.
