KS3 Careers
KS3 forms the foundation of our careers programme, giving students the early knowledge, skills and confidence they need to become future-ready learners. Throughout Years 7–9, students begin to develop our core employability skills of communication, creative problem solving, self-management and collaboration. We deliver a range of targeted interventions to support individual needs, and students benefit from a variety of off-site visits to different employers to broaden their understanding of the world of work. Our annual careers Inspiration Day further enriches this experience by allowing students to meet and learn directly from local employers.
In Year 7, the focus is on strengthening teamwork and communication skills. Year 8 introduces students to the world of STEM careers, encouraging curiosity and aspiration in rapidly growing industries. In Year 9, students receive dedicated support with their options process and next steps planning, helping them make informed choices about their future pathways as they move into KS4.
