Our Careers and Employability programme supports students at every stage of their school journey, helping them make informed and confident decisions about their next steps. We are ambitious for all our learners and aim to provide every student with real choice and opportunity.
Alongside a challenging academic programme, our Personal Development curriculum empowers students to become the leader of their own future. Careers learning is embedded into each personal development lesson through either important careers content or by giving students the opportunity to develop one of our eight essential employability skills: listening, speaking, problem solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership and teamwork. This helps students build the knowledge, confidence, and resilience needed for life beyond school.
Our targeted approach ensures that each student receives personalised support, enabling them to pursue whichever pathway is right for them— from apprenticeships, to employment to university. Key experiences, such as Year 10 Work Experience and Year 11 mock interviews, further prepare students for the world of work and future opportunities. We welcome a range of local, national and international employees to our school to show our students the large range of careers available to them.

As a school all of our students, teachers and parents have access to the Unifrog online platform this can be used from Year 7 for students to get a grasp of the career and pathway they would like to take.
