Our Student Parliament is a vital part of student leadership at our school, giving pupils a real opportunity to influence change and shape school life. Each of our four houses forms a party, led by an elected House Captain from Key Stage 4 and supported by a Vice Captain from Key Stage 3. They are joined by four additional party members from any year group, ensuring a balance of voices and ideas. To be considered for a role, students write their own manifestos during the first half-term in September, with the new parliament officially announced in the first week back after the October half-term break. This process not only develops students’ leadership skills and sense of responsibility but also strengthens their understanding of democracy and our core British values, ensuring that every student’s voice is represented and heard.
